Our thoughts are with everyone who’s been forced out of their home as a result of the dangerous conditions at GKN Aerospace.
Our principal attorney Nick Coulson has been assisting homeowners and renters suffering from industrial environmental failures since 2012. He has litigated environmental cases in state and federal courts across the country, including California, where he is a member of the state bar.
We understand how distressing it is to be suddenly forced from your home, while you must quickly decide where to take your loved ones and pets to keep them safe.
Right now, the first priority should be to make sure you get to a safe, secure, location. Hopefully, the situation will remain contained and you’ll be able to return home soon without any further risk or harm.
Still, you deserve the peace of mind of hearing that you may be able to recover expenses incurred in connection with the evacuation if GKN Aerospace failed to protect you from this situation.
We strongly recommend that you keep records of every expense you run into as a result of the evacuation. Think hotels, rental cars or other emergency transportation, meals, etc. This will help you preserve and strengthen your potential claims once you’re able to return home and get back to life as you know it.
We have already launched our investigation into the cause of this preventable disaster.

We are analyzing the known facts in comparison to the known causes and conditions of thermal runaway. We have preliminarily identified several likely causes that are consistent with the reported conditions, and each of them suggests that this catastrophe was entirely preventable.
Residents have likely heard that Orange County’s District Attorney told reporters that his office was not getting satisfactory answers from the company. While this is troubling, it is not surprising.
While we believe it would be inappropriate to divert necessary resources before the situation stabilizes, we are continuing to proactively take steps to protect residents’ rights. Now is the time for preventing further disaster, but the time for accountability will come soon.
